Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

Sorry it's taken me so long to update... it's been hectic. Amazing... but hectic. Hard to believe that a week has passed since my little guy was born. My story: As you know, I had been experiencing symptoms that were concerning me for almost 2.5 weeks. Last Wednesday I was alone at home. I remember ...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

A quick update: baby Harrison was born this evening via emergency csection. He was 7lbs 6oz and 20" - and is happy, healthy and looking great!! I had a seizure this afternoon (or so they think). When I got to hospital my bp was 202/98 and my proteins were "high" (I haven't got the actual number yet)...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

I had my appt this morning. My bp was still high - at 168/102. The little guy looked great on the NST, so my OB took blood and is running new labs. If the labs are abnormal, or if my bp or headache gets significantly worse he plans to induce this week. If the labs are okay, but my bp stays up throug...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

I'm hanging in there. I've been trying to take it easy this week since my appointment on Monday. My head is still hurting me and my bp is still up there (this morning it was 144/92), but I'm really trying to hold out until my next appointment on Monday. My headache goes from okay (dull ache) to feel...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

So I had my appt this morning and I'm even more frustrated. The on call dr's instructions to add caffeine to my Tylenol w/ Codeine and treat my headache as a migraine did NOT work for me. And my bp didn't go down at all the rest of the weekend (I home monitor my bp three times every day -- lowest si...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

So I went into L&D and was monitored this afternoon. I'm happy I did - puts my mind a little at ease. My bp while there didn't go below 178/106! That said, all my blood work and urine labs came back PERFECT. No traces of anything, liver enzymes good. So the high bp is a bit disconcerting and definit...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to go in yesterday, but my new husband thought it was too premature. It's so frustrating, since he's never experienced what could happen by waiting. Against my better judgement, I waited. Today my headache is still there, my back is still aching, I vomited again twi...

Concerned at 35+2 wks

Hello. Looking for some input... I'm on my third pregnancy - my first two I was diagnosed with pre-e. Both delivered vaginally at term, so I'm very lucky in that respect. I've been very concerned after my last two experiences that I'll develop pre-e again, so I've been very diligent this entire preg...
