Post-Delivery Lab Numbers
I'm not feeling very comfortable with my current OB care, so I think I've got to advocate for myself pretty hard here. My last baby was born on 4/13 at 37 weeks due to pre-e. 7 weeks PP, I repeated the 24 hour urine test and metabolic panel. My 24 hour came back at 248 and my uric acid is elevated (...

Re: Worse the 2nd time around?
What is worse the second time around? I was diagnosed much earlier the second time around, but so far (I'm 33w) it has stayed mild and hasn't progressed as quickly as it did the first time. If so, was your previous bought of PE mild/severe/early/late gestational age? Previously diagnosed at 34 weeks...

Re: Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down
Wow, thank you for the explanation, Caryn! That's really interesting. The big babies part is especially interesting to me. My twins were born at 35w6d and were pretty large for their gestational age at 5lbs13oz and 6lbs10oz. I was so surprised that they would be that big when I was having so many is...

Re: Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down
As an update, my latest results this week were right at 300, so it looks like I get to stay pregnant a little longer, at least. My labs are all coming back fine and my BP is high, but not crazy high yet. Weekly NSTs and kick counts are all showing baby girl is doing ok, too. This sucker moves fast w...

Re: Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down
So what do you guys make of this?
I got my latest 24 hour urine test back and it is over 300 again, but barely.
2 weeks ago - 325
1 week ago - 250
yesterday - 319
If this is pre-e, it sure is slow going!

Re: Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down
Thank you for the replies. I'm still going to be closely monitored with weekly NSTs, appointments, and 24 hour tests, but this result threw me for a loop. I didn't realize the numbers could go down with pre-e. I've been really hoping they were right and that it might not be pre-e since I'm just 28 w...

Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down
I'm feeling a little confused and waiting on a call back from my ob, but I figured I'd see if any of you have any insight! Last week at 27 weeks, I was told I had pre-e. I'm dealing with high BP (usually around 150/90) and my 24 hour urine test came back at 324. This week, I repeated the 24 hour tes...

Re: 27 weeks and newly diagnosed
Thanks for the reply! No, I'm not in the hospital yet. I'm having weekly appointments, NSTs, and 24 hour urine tests, and my next day for all of this is Monday. Of course my docs told me to go to L&D right away if I feel off, have any bad BP readings (I have a cuff at home), etc. My 24 hour urine te...

27 weeks and newly diagnosed
Just joining up here. I'm 27 weeks and was just diagnosed with pre-e a few days ago. :( At this point, it looks mild, so I'm hoping we can keep baby girl in there for a while. This is my 2nd pregnancy and 2nd time dealing with pre-e. I developed it last time at 34 weeks and delivered my twins at 35 ...
