Re : my update- you were all RIGHT

<t>I just looked that link up myself today! I knew I wasn't crazy. Well, no more so than usual! [:D] And my BP's at home have been higher and jumping around like crazy. But I'm watching it very closely and will call if I get anything over 140/90. So far the highest has been 118/94 and 130/87. Not sc...

Re : Scheduled Induction for PIH?

<t>With my second child, I was induced at 37.2 because of PIH. I'd been on BP meds for about 8 or 9 weeks prior and had at least one big spike on the meds, then a few weeks of bedrest. I think part of my doc's reason for inducing, besides the risk of things going really wrong suddenly, was that I wa...

my update- you were all RIGHT

<t>Ok, so I went to my doctor's appointment on Monday after having had that horrible headache and BP spike on Saturday. At the OB's office, my BP was 160/110! That'a the highest I've ever had. And my doc was really annoyed with me (in a nice and supportive way- if that makes sense) Anyhow, she sent ...

Re : Emergency - please help!

<t>Some states have health insurance for those who cannot afford it. Sometimes it will even apply for a certain period retroactively, so she could be seen now even though the coverage isn't in place yet. You might want to try contacting your local health and human services office to see if it's offe...

Re : Need some advice...!!!!!!!!

I switched OB's at 28 weeks with this pregnancy. It was the best thing I could have done. I'm sorry the high risk doc is so far away. But maybe even a "regular" OB who listens to you and takes your concerns seriously would still help a lot. Good luck!

Re : crazy readings and horrible headache

<t>You know, that's a really good point and I hadn't thought of it that way. He's been so amazing through this whole pregnancy. We knew it would be risky, given my other pregnancies and thought long and hard about doing it. I think I'm just at the point where I'm so tired and frustrated that I'm not...

Re : crazy readings and horrible headache

<t>My bad. I didn't go to L&D. My headache finally went away and by the end of the day my BP was down to 108/70. Yeah, I know that doesn't mean I'm out of the woods by any means. Today BPs have been around 125/85. I'm going to talk to my OB tomorrow about what happened and see what she wants me ...

crazy readings and horrible headache

<t>I'm 34.3 today. I've been on bedrest for the last 2 weeks for preterm labor and it's really held my BP steady (120/80 range). Last night I woke up with the very worst headache ever, and I'm used to migraines. I took my pressure just to be sure and it was 125/113. What?!?! I know my monitor is goo...

Re : AFLAC short term disability insurance

<t>If the policy does not specificaly exclude preeclampsia or hypertension related illnesses, then it should pay out according to the policy during your medical leave. You will need to make sure that your doctor provides a time off authorization so that you can submit it to Aflac.<br/> <br/> Please ...

Re : Mag and liquid restriction

<t>I was just on mag a week ago for PTL. My fluids were restricted to 3000 ml every 24 hours. They even counted the fluids of my antibiotic and the mag itself. The nurse said it was because of how the mag can effect your kidney and liver. I guess it can cause one or both to shut down and so they rea...
