I get migraines even when not pregnant but they don't cause me a pain in the ribs. And I've never woken up vomiting from a migraine- usually I only get to the point of nasuea or vomiting if I don't take it easy and try to do too much with a migraine when I'm sensitive to light/sound/motion.

If I were you I'd want repeat labs and/or some explanation for the right rib pain.

Most Doctors will only go by definite symptoms (lab results, Elevated BP) to make a diagnosis. If you are sensitive and have a good 'bodyfeeling' you might feel something is up or different. PE can be tricky, as it does not always present in a systematic pattern and many symptoms can be also something else, but your care providers should be diligent and be sure not to dismiss any symptoms that could be PE. With your history I hope your doctors are watching out for PE and are keeping a close eye on you. Your pain in the rib cage worries me. Have your labs come back? Even if your doctor is dismissive keep reporting all symptoms and call to be seen if you feel off.

Pre-eclampsia more evident during the night?

I'm 31.5 weeks pregnant with my 4th. I had pre-eclampsia with my 1st. My 2nd and 3rd pregnancies were completely uneventful. With my first child I began having symptoms weeks(I think about 8 wks) before my bp ever went up. That is exactly what is happening with this baby. I believe this is about week 4. I have had headaches everyday a couple times a day since Sunday. Twice this week I have woke up during the night with sharp pain in my right ribcage and a sense of panic/discomfort and start to vomiting. My bp will only rise to 130/80 and when I settle down (1-1.5hrs after it starts) my bp will drop back to 110/75. My doctor insists I'm fine and I have just come down with migraines. We had done labs. Advice?
