Well it all started last year when I found out I was pregnant... the year before I had miscarried at 6 weeks. I had your average pregnancy. At 6 months I started getting Preterm Labor. They gave me a shot and it stopped my contractions. I had to get a emergency c-section because the baby's head got stuck. After delivery, I was still swelled up everywhere. I looked like a cartoon.The day before they were going to release me. I was in the restroom and I couldn't breathe. I had to call the nurse. So man doctors and nurses were coming in my room. They put me on oxygen and gave me sulfate for seizures. Even though I never got them. I remember telling the nurse please do not let me die. I felt so bad. My blood pressure was high. I have never had any problems with blood pressure which is odd. The doctors did not know what to do. I was the first case in the hospital to have had this. They ran  some tests and found out I had so much water in my feet that there was no more room and the water was going all the way to my lungs. I had xrays done on my bed of my whole body to make sure it did not go around my heart. But it didn't. The nurses then gave me ducinex through the IV so all that water can get out of my body. In one hour 10,000 cc of water came out of me. I stayed in the hospital for a week and went home. When I got home my blood pressure started going up again so back to the hospital I went. They put me on high blood pressure medicine for about 1-2 months. After that it has been fantastic. No more high blood pressure. My son is as healthy as can be. The doctors told me though if I would get pregnant again I would be at high risk and  all these problems could happen even worse. I got scared and was going to get my tubes tied but my husband said no more surgeries for me. He got a vasectomy. I am grateful I have a beautiful son, sad that I can't have anymore kids and confused on why this happened to me.
